Need help choosing paint colour to compliment light and floor..
Comments (6)I think I would go with the purbeck stone. I have elephants breath but it can be warm in South facing rooms and as your flooring is really warm I'd go for a contrast. I wouldn't go for the Hardwick for the same reason. Maybe get testers of both though to see how it works? The Dulux looks nice but I think a deeper contrast with the White may work better i...See MoreI need to paint the whole house and not sure which colours to choose!
Comments (3)Gray is the new beige. Neutrals are necessary to keep a home from looking like a box of crayons, but do you really want to have your whole home painted neutral? Almost no one hates beige or gray, but I rarely find anyone who says "My favorite color is Gray!" or "I love beige!" I had a white walls and light beige tile floors for many years and people would come into my home and say how clean my home always looked. With all the natural light it did always scream clean! Now I have a maroon kitchen, purple undertoned taupe ceilings and walls in the main part of the home and blue greens in the bathrooms and bedrooms. My accents are blue greens, purples and reds. People come in now and say "Your home is beautiful", "Who helped you find these colors?", "Wow, I love your home!". My house is not what you will find in any magazine, it defies trends and will never be dated. I picked colors that I love and added a neutral that worked with the deep reds, blue greens and purples that I love. Picking the right neutral was really dependent on picking the colors that I love and finding the neutral that worked best with those colors. What is your favorite outfit. The one that makes you feel like you are walking on water? If it is a grey suit with a bright red shirt, then paint your home grey and have bright red accents. You want your home to reflect who you are, not what is popular today....See MoreNeed help to choose bedroom wall Color paint

Comments (1)If you start with one paint manufacturer for a start - often they put colours into blends or shades of similar colours . As a quick guide - a room with stronger light can take a deeper shade - and a room with less light ( daylight in both cases ) needs a paler shade . Often these colours become more prominent if you add white skirting/architrave etc. If you want cohesion from room to room - use a combination of the same blend of colours that work with the light available and then add either a feature colour - this can be one wall if you like that look or added as soft elements like cushions or throws etc . Or ... For a very simple look - just have white everywhere on the walls and ceilings and have a neutral skirting/architrave/door colour - like F&B Charleston Grey . It’s simple and will work throughout your home - and allow your soft furnishing to be the star in the room, instead of the wall colour. Hope that helps a bit ?...See MoreKat & Co. Interiors
