What color of sofa to go with mellow mocha and soft stone living room
Comments (2)Hi. You've used neutral colours so anything will work with them really. If you want a leather sofa maybe go for chocolate and then add an accent colour, various shades of blue and raspberry work well. If you want fabric maybe try a duck egg. Or stick to neutrals and then add an accent (if you want a colour) .What are your favourite colours?...See MorePlease help choose wall colour for living room?
Comments (7)Well it looks like a nice bright room so I guess you have so many choices it can get overwhelming. For wallpapers I can recommend John Lewis's own especially if you don't want to spend a lot. We've just done a feature wall in a bedroom and it was good quality stuff. http://m.johnlewis.com/mt/www.johnlewis.com/browse/home-garden/wallpapers/wallpapers/view-all-wallpapers/john-lewis/_/N-d0eZ1z141il?intcmp=home_cat_wallpapers_lhn_featuredbrands_jl_180915 I guess with a new build you can go for any style. If you like the mustard yellow (I do) there are lots of papers which could tie in to it. Would probably be too much as a solid colour wall. II'm sure others will come along with some better ideas......See MoreTeal Sofa / Natural Oak Floor? And Rug?
Comments (4)The floor is nice but the blue of the sofa will bring out the orange tones of the floor. I don't know if I'd go for something less warm. I filtered the same range under beige and there were a few nice ones but have just attached the one link. https://www.quick-step.co.uk/en-GB/laminate/impressive/im1854_soft-oak-light are you planning on taking the fire out given you've mentioned a tv unit? I'm not sure on the layout with the snuggler next to the sofa as it gives a waiting room feel, it feels cosier etc if a chair can be angled towards the sofa for conversation etc. That snuggler is also large and it may overwhelm the room with a dining table etc. Do you think you would open up the kitchen to dining at any point? Controversial but just thinking of swapping living and dining to keep the fire or moving the kitchen door if possible. Are there doors to the garden? I would also bear Ellie's advice in mind....See MoreColours for a narrow living room ..help please!
Comments (4)Never been a fan of COVID blue which seems to be the colour everybody depressed in lockdown painted their walls, come summertime they will step back and say ‘what was I thinking?’ Back to the example posted by Christine, do you have to move the furniture every time you want to go through the door on the right of the picture or, it it just a door to nowhere?...See Morebubbles bathrooms and tiles
