Cream and Punishment

My lovely new Victorian house has original floorboards everywhere except the bedrooms, which are an unfortunate yellowy-cream. Any ideas on a flattering wall colour for the guest room?

The windows face north and east so I’m trying to resist the impulse to contrast the pine bed with textures of white everywhere. The walls are currently grey with purple undertones, so I’ve attached a photo of the master bedroom (painted green) which gives a more accurate representation of the carpet colour. (Oh, and I’m replacing the green with coral in the master).

I’m not ripping up the carpets because the rest of the house is freezing and I can’t do that to myself...!

Thanks
