We’re looking at Parex render but can’t find many pictures of their renders. It’s a new build farmhouse with cream windows and as you may have noticed, John Deere yellow door! Any colour ideas would be welcomed. Thank you.
You are best off with a colour that will sit with the red of the roof tile. It also needs to be in my opinion darker than the window or different enough to the window for them to stand out. A buff colour with no grey in it would work, also a pale sage.
Not convinced about the style or colour of the front door, sorry.
Here's a red roof farmhouse using the cream and green. You could swap the colours over and go for a sage green render.
Maybe a solid wood door more in keeping with a farmhouse too.
I'm afraid I'm with MATH on the colour and style of the door. I don't think they sit well with the traditional style of the house and the colour of the roof.
Anything too creamy will look sickly with the red roof, and cool grey could make the windows look yellow. I would use a cool stoney colour but I am also in agreement with the others about the front door. That is throwing a spanner in the works, because it won't go with a cool stoney colour.
Such a controversial front door! There will also be a oak front porch making the doorway darker. Looking around a lot of cottages and some farmhouse, front doors were vibrant and too many people play it safe and neutral showing no character. Yes the style and side panels are too modern, I agree. Will it interfere with onward sales? Only time will tell! Originally, I wanted a sage green too MATH.
