I’m looking at a light grey vanity unit for my en-suite and unsure what colour for the flooring?

River white granite is very similar to the splashback in the last photo.... the thing is we have in our mind to have a grey kitchen and everyone is saying you can't have all gray. our last house had alot of brown and beige, tan, cream etc, no one mentioned we needed gray to break that up LOL, and while I appreciate that those colours are warm, and gray and white are cool, this is an extremely warm and sunny house, lots of patio doors, often I think I've left a light on. So I think I can get away with gray and white without having to still drag brown in ..? If i add colour right. and by colour I mean red, teal, mustard... not brown! Which is a neutral IMO I think we will go ahead with the kitchen and leave the walls white for now and put floor samples down to decide.... then add accent colour organically.

In my opinion it is the saturation level of the paint that is the problem. The beauty of your kitchen is the natural flooring and the wooden worktops, it looks earthy. This is swamped by the blue paint, it just looks wrong. Without seeing the cupboard door colours close up it is tricky but I would suggest looking for something a bit darker than the cupboards but with the same hue. If you want a strong contrasting wall a deep olive green would work as it would balance the wood and the purpley greys.

I’m not too sure on peignoir, I took two different images of it and photoshopped it, does it look a bit meh? Moles breath I guess it depends on the light. I don’t suppose your husband would consider colour for accessories?! i will try a few more colours though

Herbie, basically anything goes well with a light grey vanity unit! But our favourites are the following options.

-dark grey stone effect tile
-grey pattern tile
-carrara marble tile

Most colours would work but darker grey to contrast, white, patterned tiles as already suggested look nice.
Wood effect you could go lighter or rich walnut.
