This project was a design only project and the client had their own builder but such trades like Mainland Aluminum or Columbia Railings are able to provide these items.

Depends what you are cooking that’s slashing. Most surfaces that are cleaned almost straight away will often offer similar results . Looking at an extreme close up of the medium you are considering might help you choose ... glass is often very flat, compared to small undulations in steel. ( which might harbour micro particles)

Sliders all the way. My sister has had them installed in her kitchen - 3 panes filling the whole of the back of the house and it looks amazing. She has gone for a very modern country look so clean lines, shaker doors, very light and airy. Here’s a view with one door slid open, please excuse the garden as that’s next on the list once lockdown over!

Hi Fiona, How exciting. The specification of the glazing is what will really impact its heat efficiency and your glaziers should be able to advise you further on this. One small note about lanterns is that they technically add volume to the space, which needs to be taken into account when calculating the BTU and heating requirements of a space. Once you have made your decision make sure to update your plumber regarding the BTU requirements.
