Help with kitchen pendant lights

Replacing Kitchen pendant lights, currently 12.5 inches to 18.5inches. The island size is 90” long * 50” wide. However the island overlang is at the end of the longer side. I’m unsure how I should hang my new pendant lights, should they be centered from the mid point of the island? I just fear that people shouldnt bump into the light on the side of the overhang.

Right now the lights are towards the other end of the counter and not aligned in the center.
