Hague blue room. Need finishing touches!
Comments (9)Hi, adore that colour. Moody and cosy at the same time, gorgeous. I see you're going for the more rustic look with the chunky wood, log burner and leather sofa. I'd continue this with some more natural looking textures (fur throw, faux sheepskin, carved wood etc.) Some natural linen curtains with big chunky tie backs would look great as well. Also brass/gold elements work really well with this colour so maybe a gold framed mirror or a set of gallery prints. This shop does a great range of prints, be aware they come un-framed: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/QuantumPrints I also love these prints, for a quirky look I think they'd work really well in your room. https://www.arthouse.com/shop/wall-art/type/framed-prints/lagoon-black-set-of-2-framed-prints/...See MoreHelp for finishing touches in a loft room!
Comments (13)Hi. It looks good. I would normally paint a room with sloping ceilings the same colour but i don't know how you feel about painting the end wall? (And the radiator). Personally I'd just prop art on the table (a set of 3 though in different sizes which was beyond me in photoshop!). I'd add a similar side table next to the sofa for a lamp, this one looks a bit too tall but there are a few around. The Hemnes unit looks too tall for the tv, as does the one on the link, but I wonder if you could get one made like this bespoke? Play around with cardboard boxes etc to make sure the height is right. Add some succulents on the side table and the hemnes unit. I might also swap one of the cushions for a patterned one https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/494340027/industrial-chic-reclaimed-corner-tv-unit?gpla=1&gao=1&&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_uk_en_gb_a-home_and_living-furniture-living_room_furniture-coffee_and_end_tables&utm_custom1=6fda16d0-df97-4fdf-8071-55a8f6b8864e&gclid=CjwKCAjw0ujYBRBDEiwAn7BKt1NtQ0rvi3VBh7gxE6blq6D7Pp9AnwZbtxGNpaP1vRn6cHjcnIEekxoCiH4QAvD_BwE...See Moreliving room finishing touches
Comments (6)Hi - I would suggest you add a rug in the centre something to draw the eye into the centre of the room and add a somewhat focal point. The other thing you can do is to add a large picture on top of the fireplace to again draw the focal point to the centre. On the floor lamp - I agree to replace within something in keeping with your current style and sticking to the wood texture. I would also add some plants even if they are faux, it will add a bit more life and style to the room. I've picked up the accent colour from your cushions and used that to pick a similar coloured rug just to give you an idea: https://www.habitat.co.uk/grid-medium-grey-and-yellow-geometric-wool-rug-140-x-200cm-220229 comes in different colours as well https://www.habitat.co.uk/tripod-ash-wooden-tripod-floor-lamp-with-white-shade-252742...See MoreLiving room finishing touches
Comments (3)Hi Charlotte, Nice room! Are the sofas staying? If not I would consider a three seater for the back wall and a single armchair with side table for the space next to the door. The two seater next to the door is too big for that space. I can feel a bit of a retro vibe in the room? so maybe in that style. You could add a cube pouffe or two for extra seating. I was just about to suggest that you could have an amazing fireplace as the main feature in the room until I noticed the section of carpet missing. Looks like you had a fireplace removed? I like the side tables I think you need one either side of the back sofa and some lamps. Some more plants, a bookshelf next to the door, coffee table and maybe even a rug. The walls are mostly bare so some artwork, cushions, and a throw would really finish off the look....See MoreMaths Wife
