What colours should I choose to go with my aubergine/cream kitchen?
Comments (8)I would go for high gloss mustard green wet wall where the tiles were. This colour looks great with aubergine and the sleek finish will instantly update the kitchen. Positional ceiling halogens and lighting under the wall cupboards to make the rich colours glow. I think three colours are fine, especially if you pull them together in a blind fabric or cushion. ???...See MoreWhat colour tiles to go with this kitchen?
Comments (4)I think something that will warm up the scheme a little would be nice. MATH's copper tiles would work, also consider bricks, a textured mid grey tile would play the tone on tone but add more interest to the scheme, and even a patterned tile would work BUT you would need the scale of the design quite small. I feel the big bold designs will fight with the dark cabinets for attention a bit too much. You can definitely afford to play UP the the drama those dark cabinets offer as opposed to going for safer options and keep it plain and light. If going for pattern choose designs with warmer tones like taupes and grey not stark white and grey. Hope this helps and please let us know how it's progressing :)...See Morewhat colour paint/sofas to go with this fabric?
Comments (4)Very pretty fabric. The background grey of the curtains would make a lovely wall colour. I don’t think you need anything bolder as the fabrics are quite bold. A pale grey carpet would be a nice neutral. I think you could go quite bold, if you dare, with the sofa though - bright green or teal, or pink. I think the Parker Knolls would look great in a bold velvet, but if that’s too much then a muted grey will still look great and you can liven them up with colourful cushions. Here’s some ideas, but I couldn’t find many images of curtains like yours with a sofa!...See Morehelp on what paint colour to go for in this bathroom and help to updat
Comments (2)If you want to update on a budget, then I think painting the walls will help. I think a darker shade would look good, say a coffee or taupe colour maybe? I would paint the shelf the same colour as the walls and then add a plant or two, one hanging down and one spreading up and out. The tiling limits the colour palate, are they pinkish with brown and beige mosaic border? If taupe is not for you, then white walls, wooden shelving and plants would look good. Here’s some ideas...See MoreBeth Jones
