We hope to replace our existing front door with aluminium 'patio' doors - single door and matching sidelights. It has to be an 'exit' or escape door - at the bottom of the stairs from a converted loft. It will not be used as an entrance so just needs a thumb turn lock. Building control sadly insists door rather than a window. Smart Systems do separate door and sidelights but our fitter would prefer to fit a single unit - but this seems to be mega bucks from our local window manufacturer. Can anyone recommend a good and reasonable (under £2k) bespoke Ali door supplier - central / south area? Thanks.
