I love this kitchen guys! Can you share more info on the oak faced plywood? Is it from columbia forest products? I am trying to figure out where to source it..Any advice would be SOOO appreciated!

Claudia Raperport - Your kitchen looks really nice. Where did you get your floor from? honeypoppet - Very good point about the tiles. We have some green samples coming this week. I'm not doing walls until kitchen in. also waiting a while to replace our table with a slightly bigger one. I've always wanted a decent table. only 3 of us so maybe will use end of it for serving up. in the pics the island looks clear and usable. the reality is it gets covered with all sorts. Im thinking of a mobile unit as could put it against chimney breast some of time. It's a developing idea. I'm reluctant to finalise until we live with the kitchen for a while. so much to think about and I'm an over thinker!

Yes both, I’m doing a two tone kitchen. Craig and Rose tintern stone for top cabinets and finally decided on Valspar timber green which is green but almost black for lower cabinets. The Craig and Rose is good and has great sticking power but i noticed with some of the test pots and I’ll warn you it’s smelly...not like oil based paint fumes but like cheesy socks smelly. Glad I decided not to use it on the walls. And the Wilko clear varnish is the best I’ve used so far, comes in matt, satin and gloss, all water based, thin but I highly recommend. Not used them myself but Little Greene paints are supposed to be very good and I think they do oil based eggshell which should be very durable for kitchen cabinets. Tad expensive tho which is why I went for the emulsion and varnish method.

Hello, it’s funny but warm cream shades fell out of favour when grey seemed to take over the world of decor for many years. I like a warm, buttery cream but I struggled to find images of it used with grey kitchen units. I managed to find this pic of a grey DeVol kitchen and cream walls. Love the way it’s teamed with wooden shelves. As to paint shades, I’ve used Dulux Ivory and Dulux Elderflower Tea in the past, as well as Almond White. Lovely warm neutrals. i also wondered whether changing the cupboard doors to something more to your taste may improve things? There are lots of companies that do this, and I noticed even B&Q sell just doors too. Just a suggestion.
