Ideas for Window Treatment for a Gable End
Comments (1)Hi there - what an exciting project! Full-height windows like this can be tricky to dress, so our suggestion would be for the simple, easy-to-clean and minimal solution of shutters - and yes, those high triangular windows can have shutters made for them too. This example from our Kelly Hoppen range maybe shows how sophisticated and sleek they can look from inside a contemporary kitchen space, especially when you have a large expanse of glass to cover......See More2 bathroom dilemma
Comments (22)Yeah, sure, that would work and you would have 2 fabulous bathrooms. You need to weigh up the additional cost of extending further over the garage vs. how much value is added to your property. I say this because adding extra rooms does of course add significant value to your property but bathrooms don't add quite as much as other rooms in the house and to extend over the garage may be significant cost because it's not just adjusting internal walls, adding windows etc. but adding a whole new structure and that may involve underpining the garage etc depending on what foundations are already there. Personally I don't think it's so bad to have a bathroom without a window these days as many houses have to go down that route. With the great effects you can have with lighting and internal air circulation as long as an internal bathroom has the WOW factor it really won't be a problem. BUT saying that, 2 big fab bathrooms would definitely have the WOW factor. Good luck with whatever you decide....See MoreHow to light asymmetrical cathedral ceiling?
Comments (7)Hi joelizabeth, They ship internationally and sit in a showroom that is twice the size of your living room... They are actually quite sizeable, granted they are not larger spheres, but offer a different kind of cluster light because they can hang quite low and they offer bespoke sizing.. I see what you mean- they do really work with grey or a darker colour scheme.. but the transparency of them can look really magical.. They have bright led's inside which illuminate the pebble - and so accent the little lights you have on those twigs.. With a couple of lower lighting options like a table lamp or a wall light... I could see them hanging off centre quite easily... Leaving the fan well alone.. Having them sitting off centre, is more interesting sometimes than having everything looking symmetrical.. Sometimes symmetry doesn't work... With the option to have them hanging at differing heights, you can create a unique configuration or even have them in a straight line.... They are glass ovals situated in a nickel metal surround and chain which houses the flex/cord which is woven into it. At the moment showrooms in London and New York.. You will find what works for you.. : ) )...See MoreOld Cathedral Ceiling
Comments (9)We had the same roof in our kitchen dining area. It was painted white though. I did like it, but we wanted more light and added Velux windows. Best decision ever. Even though they are difficult to clean. If you do consider having windows in the roof, the self cleaning glass doesn't work, so you can save money on that. At the same time we've also had the ceiling insulated and plastered. Added downlights too. Haven't regretted it....See MoreDr Retro House Calls
