Trying to decide on end tables for family room.

I am purchasing end tables for my living room. Attached are photo of two choices. The two shelf dimension is 22.25 wide x 20.5 inches deep x 21.5 inches high. The three shelf dimension is 22 inches wide x 18 inches deep x 26.75 inches high. The height of the arm of the sofa is 25.5 inches high. I have two sofas. Which table should I purchase? And I should buy two of the same not one of each correct?
