POLL: Do you change your home according to the seasons?
Comments (44)Yes, absolutely. It's great to add small changes in your home, even if it is changing the flowers in the room to daffodils for the spring time or putting a pop of colour with cushions for the sofa, a small change can make the difference in any room. Decorating for the seasonal festive i.e. Halloween or Christmas is also a big part of showing your unique style in how you decorate....See MorePOLL: Where do you start when decorating your living room?
Comments (23)Furniture and flooring need to be long stay options, so I would choose these first, then introduce colors of walls from curtains and pick it up in cushions and rug. that way it is easy to freshen up room in a few years without changing the major expenses e.g. new paint color and cushions...See MorePOLL: How many times do you wake up in the night?
Comments (25)Ha Ha Tani re the Mattress...................I've had a bad back for years, along with awful shoulders and a crappy neck, so has Mrs Math ( too much manual labour when we were younger ). We had an Eve mattress which Mrs Math ( Nicky ) loved. I like a bit of a moan being a chap, so whined a small amount over several years about it and other things, so we finally got rid of it. I wanted a nice firm, but plush mattress, so we bought a very expensive Sealy Posturepedic mattress believing that it would be the answer to all my problems. WRONG. I am now in more pain than ever and Mrs Math went and bought a mattress topper for her half as she hates it so much. So now she can look down on me whilst i'm in pain, a double bummer. She wants the Eve mattress back and it was less than half the price....See MorePOLL: When working from home, where do you set up?
Comments (17)I’m at my desk in the family room and my husband has set up office in the dining room. Teenage son is studying in his bedroom and daughter is home schooling between my husband and I - depending on who has meetings etc and is most available to help. She’s using an ottoman for a desk with footstool to sit on when with me and is at the opposite end of the dining room table when she’s with her dad. My top tip is to clear all work/study/school stuff away at the end of every day to give us our home back again. I put my laptop etc into my rucksack and stash that away in the cupboard and my husband and daughter have a drawer each that I cleared out in the dining room sideboard at the start of lockdown, for all their school and work stuff. When I’m finished working, I open the windows to let all the work vibes out, light a lovely smelling candle and I’m home....See MoreToni Hamlett
