Bigger bathroom or bigger 3rd bedroom?
Comments (5)Charlotte, from a buyer’s point of view, if the house has 3 bedrooms and a big bathroom, sounds better than a 3 bedroom house with a small bathroom. So we recommend you go for the big bathroom with a separate shower and bath. Bathrooms and kitchens are first thing a buyer notices and are definitely worth the investment. A bedroom is just a bedroom and only the number of them count. Please let us know if you would need help with your house/bathroom renovation. Comments (3)Plants! Trailing plants, either fake or real and plenty of them. I think you could combine your two ideas - to use the space for storage and to build up the walls. My suggestion is to build up the walls to the ceiling but don't have them meeting the existing walls flush build up from on top of the en suite and set in a bit. So create a window ledge width on those two walls where you have the ensuite roof now. Use the ledge for plants or other decorative objects - you could even cover the new walls with a mirrored surface. I think this would minimise the potential overbearing quality of building straight up and using trailing plants would give visual interest part way down the wall and draw your eye back down into the room. You will have to work out how to get your items in/out of new cupboard! Maybe a nice looking ladder which could be feature itself?...See MoreSingle alcove bedroom, need more built in storage. Comments (6)Excellent idea there by @Jonathan. You'd have to move the radiator (or perhaps change it to a column and place in the corner?) but it'd be a nicer placement of the bed, better paths around the room and way more storage. Personally, I'd go one less wardrobe and have the vanity table and chair parallel to the bed with a large wall mirror and overhead shelves If you want a simpler option, option 1 looks the best solution....See MoreConverting 2 bedroom flat into a 3 bedroom flat
Comments (3)In my opinion you can’t create more rooms than you have windows. So you should give the larger master bedroom to the children and divide it with furniture or screens that can easily be removed by the next people. You would then take the bedroom with the balcony or you would use this space as a living room, make an aperture to the kitchen then add a partition wall to the living end of the kitchen to annex a new bedroom. Be aware that any bedroom off a kitchen may require fire regulation approval....See More- 4 years ago
