Tikkurila paints

We're looking at getting a few rooms redecorated after having our windows replaced. For the first time we'll be hiring a painter to do the work as with 2 small children it'll take us forever to get it done ourselves.
He's recommend Tikkurila paint and I've had one of their colour cards through the post. Their tester paints work out at about a fiver each so I don't really want to be ordering lots of them. So my question is have people found the colours in their colour cards an accurate representation of actual paint on the walls?
If anyone has any real life photos of their shades of off-white/cream/pale grey and blues then I'd love to see them!

Mylands. You always regret your economies. I've repainted this kitchen 4X over the years, and last time was in Dulux which wore so poorly. Just custom mixed a new vibrant duck egg to paint my kitchen in marble matt walls, eggshell woodwork, and floor paint. Mylands matched impeccably. It was a dream of coverage, and looks spectacular. The quality of the pigment shows, looks the money, nothing like synthetic mediocre pigments in cheaper paint. It's a big improvement.

That's a shame. Oh no, don't panic! Is there a reason it has to be oil based? You could use zinsser or I thought a wood primer would just work? I have the intelligent eggshell (water based) and after nearly 3 years I just have 2 minute chips. A lot of people on here tend to use F&B, although I think LG is harder wearing and easier to keep clean in my limited experience, but I'm just wondering if it would be easier to try and match to the old white using F and B. Another colour which could potentially work is LG French grey which comes in a few shades and team with dark lead on the island.

These are the nearest matches in available & measured paint colours, to Slaked Lime. None are a bang-on match but these are closest of the bunch. The key differences to note are circled. These are the Hue Angles° of each colour. This plots them into one of the 10 Hue Families on our Wheel. Slaked Lime at 90° sits in the middle of the Yellow Hue Family + might pull warm or cool. Alabaster from Dulux Trade is at 98°, in the cooler zone of the Yellow Hue Family, heading on over to Green-Yellow. Calla from Tikkurila is at 88° and the most likely of the 3 to read more warmly. Just something to note though, low chroma (near neutral) colours such as this, between approx 40°-90° can potentially shift a little lavender in some imbalanced lighting. It doesn’t happen in every space, but it may. If it does, the key might be to move a little further clockwise away from that hue angle° to find something similar. 🌈

I would definitely add a light outside. Maybe have a practical light for showing the way in the dark and something really soft to light it up at night. If you want something pretty I’d go for sage, sorry it doesn’t let me paint wood very well (nor much else tbh!) 😂 Maybe white windows? Personally I’d also add a path or stepping stones down there, it’s not pleasant walking on a lawn in wet/cold months and dealing with muddy floors! Something that curves round like the bottom half of an S should make the garden feel wider (not that it’s narrow but you know what I mean!)
