Hi. What kind of styles do you like or are you wanting a sea/beach decor? Do you have any pictures of the apartment? It might be an idea to start looking through houzz or interior magazines and create an Ideabook of the styles you like. Do you know which way the rooms face in terms of light for decor?

Hello Molly, any of the above ideas would suit it simply depends on your tastes. If you put shelves up you will have to put stuff on them to make it feel right - if you have have many books or nick nacks then perhaps limit the shelving. Pictures are always great - they add interest and can add colour. Yasmina's feature wall is fantastic and super bold but you have to be comfortable with it. A wall of old mirrors can look fantastic - reflects light and movement from outside. Your clock looks lost I'm afraid - a wall of retro clocks on the other hand... I really like the colour of settee - anything can go with it and you can add a pop of colour with a cushion or two, rug, flowers etc. It seems that you are not sure what you would like, so I would suggest you start doing some research to find out what you are drawn to. Look on house at ALL styles. Look in interiors magazines and just start collecting a few ideas. You will be drawn to something - its just a matter of working out what it is - then building on it. At the moment the room is very minimal in terms of its contents - it might be that you don't like clutter at all and simply need a key standout piece placed correctly to add that wow factor. It looks fantastic - I can't believe it only cost £300.

You can have a nice outdoor rug to ground the space and add colourful cushions and blanket on your furniture. A small round side table for a small lamp to create some mood lighting and of course your lovely plants and some waterproof wall art on the walls. Cannot see the balcony completely but if some bamboo blinds can be hung from the ceiling above the rail to help reduce noise and pollution, that would be great.
