What would you do with this room?
Comments (38)I was going to comment but Amber done it all for me (Amber rearrange my tiny room plz.) This room has so much scope and basically just needs key pieces already there to be placed better. I agree with curtains longer poles let them FREE no tie backs get closer with your seating for conversation areas plz lose little rug in front of harth. Group some of your ornaments so not so granny looking. A few plants and flowers to give the room life. Take care hanging pictures on walls they need to be hung straight with thought to viewing height if too small as some are group them for more impact. Get a large picture or mirror over fireplace they are not expensive one that reflects what you love. Keep all the vintage toys especially old horse he's great adds charm and old car lovely. I would repaint but wait till furniture rearranged then sit back in there with light flooding in from your beautiful windows and see what colours the natural light loves then decide. Well I was there with you for a moment :) Beautiful room and great pieces just need sorting have fun...See MoreWhat carpet would work best here...
Comments (21)I thought I recognised your name! How did the kitchen colour go in the end? I think a Persian would be lovely, and the pattern would hide any paw marks although wool is meant to dispel any dirt. I’m a bit limited on colour Options but also tried it in a yellow (I was after an F&BIndian yellow but couldn’t get the shade!) It may not be your thing but you can go bold in a dining room?...See Morewhat windows would you pair with black bifolds? black?
Comments (7)Yes, you could go for dual coloured ones. I think @Juliet Docherty once mentioned in a dilemma that they have dark coloured windows inside and they don't like how it dictates the colours in the room? Not sure if it was her who said that. So I think it depends on your style too. I quite like black/white/beige/grey interiors, and I quite like the idea of dark window frames on the inside :-) I don't think it looks odd if you have black bifolds and white windows on the inside. Just a personal choice...See MoreFully carpeted hallway out of budget - would this idea work?
Comments (3)Yes that sounds cobbled together. I suspect the cost of the quote is mainly high because stair carpets mean lots of wastage and they will possibly have an additional cost of binding the edge. Consider getting the carpet shop to just fit a landing carpet and for the time being you use your own runner for the stairs and possibly upgrade to a matching stair carpet later...See Moreaaliyah xo
