Finishing touches to lounge
Comments (23)Lights look pretty! Forget the table swap. You can never have too many lamps....Sort of :) Find a squat lamp with a black shade for the bureau - you want it to end up as the same height as the standard lamp and table lamp, so measure what that is (20 cms? 30 cms?). Sorry dog is confused. Mine looks at me like I'm nuts when I'm moving stuff around, too....See MoreSuggestions needed to finish living room
Comments (5)Thanks Minnie! Great tips. The sofas shouldn't have been overlapping that was just laziness in shifting furniture after three full days of painting (lots of trim painted in other rooms as well as everything in here). Love the idea abou the bookcases, will see how that looks. I'm thinking of possibly painting the coffee table black and getting a piece of glass to put over the top to avoid scratches. I think having the two different woods in the entertainment unit and coffee table doesn't work so well. Plant is a good idea too, am thinking maybe on the left hand end of the long sofa (there's a bit of space there) as my coffee table is more often than not my dining table so needs all the room it can get! planning a trip to ikea for some cheap frames (Being in Australia I don't have b and q or Asda, more's the pity!) and going to make some paint chip artwork. Bringing colour in without needing particular artistic talent or costing the earth! thanks again...See MoreHow to finish my living room Mediterranean summer vibe decor?
Comments (10)Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions this is really inspiring! I've been looking into shutters but would like something softer around the window too, maybe voiles or something. I love all the attached pictures, where can I buy it all? I also really wanted to add something bold with the Greek key pattern but I haven't found anything I like yet. I love Greek and Roman styles, gods and gladiators and holidays in Europe have been my inspiration for the wall I wanted to bring it all to my living room in rainy England to cheer my up on those dull days! Any ideas how I can add the greek key pattern? I don't have any more pictures with me but the room flows through to a dining area/extended seating area at the end with patio doors on to the garden. Its an extension so we have an arch between the rooms with ceramic up lights under the arch. This end of the room is still white. I would gratefully receive ideas for this end of the room too....See MoreHelp with my living room
Comments (19)Firstly, your living room looks amazing!! I think that it does need something else though. Nesting tables/side tables would be great. Try something like these? These would look great as they'd match your current colour scheme. These lightly gold coloured nesting tables would look elegant and compliment your blush/neutral coloured sofas and table lamp. Also, might be good to add some extra accessories that are a little different such as - Coral pieces always add a unique touch to any home and these would definitely match your colour scheme perfectly. Glass squat jars are extremely popular at the moment, with this smoked one you could leave it empty or fill. If you're looking for a mirror, these would look lovely above your fireplace as theyre elegant and charming but also unusual which will attract attention to the centre which would hopefully help even out. These items are all available on our website :) Hope this helps you. Any questions, please contact us! - www.shabbystore.co.uk...See Moremdnotdr
