Can you tell me the paint colours used please?

Hi there,
Love this design. Can you tell me the paints used in this design?
Also where I can find this blind and the colour?

HI Patrick, the walls and ceiling are just a Dulux matt white, the skirting and doors were Farrow & Ball Cornforth White. The bed and bedside tables were pre-painted by suppliers but they are very close to Cornforth White. The blind was just a plain grey linen, I'm afraid I can't remember the precise fabric but again it was just a few shades darker than Cornforth White. Hope this helps, Michaela

I would start with her bedroom, that's the area she wil rest. Keep it neutral and and peaceful. Make the curtains cheerful that will be the first thing she'll see when she wakes up. A four feet bed will be comfortable for her and find out how much it will cost to raise the bed ...at a certain age it is more comfortable to get in and out of. Table lamps which by a touch will light up a big alarm clock... Older people always want to know the time! Two bedside tables. Soft carpet for her feet and a big collage on the wall with photos of her family. I would get rid of the wardrobe is is so huge and if you look on your local ebay and put you postcode in you will be able to get a good bargain. Look for a comfy chair too with a floorlight for reading. If space a nice little table (local ebay) will make it complete. Your mum prefers her wall painted but again a roll of cheerful wallpaper for one wall in her bedroom will make it special for her. Try to get rid of all the clutter like those two shopping trolleys perhaps in a cupboard in the hall? I have done a lot of houses up on a shoestring and it is a challenge but can be so satisfying. One thing I have learnt ....ALWAYS finish one room completely before going on to the next room. It helps when you feel a bit down about the project and one look in the finished room gives one a big boost to continue!!! Good Luck.

Thanks :) Hopefully worktops should be done within the next week. My husbands done everything himself plus he's never done anything like this before, hence why it's taking so long! but he's a perfectionist so I don't mind. No sofa yet, still unsure of what to go with plus I keep changing my mind on blinds lol. I'm so indecisive! :)

Hello Mrs G! I personally love the tile, it really is beautiful and that's why it needs to be highlighted. Having too much of it will drown it so to speak so I would do either one of these 2 options: 1) Leave it on the main floor only. Then on the platform floor and wall, up to the window, I would put a matte grey tile of the exact same colour as the grey in your feature tile. 2) Or put it only on the wall behind the bath up to the ceiling a bit like this: I really think that's your 2 options as otherwise it might be too much. With these I think you'll agree it "frames" the tiles more so they have a real impact. Hope that helps! Anthony

Hi, Using colour: I would stay neutral for the walls above the units; a great colour example of this is 'Strong White' by Farrow and Ball and then for the wall on the left of the photo I would have this as a feature all and go for a darker tone such as 'Green Blue' by Farrow and Ball. Using lighting: spotlights are great as they can provide an even spread of light in your kitchen, especially if you are limited in natural light. Due to having a dark coloured back splash, having under cabinet spotlights on a separate electrical circuit would provide additional lighting on the worktop area in the evening and night hours. One last question, did you do the architraves in cornforth white or just the doors?

Hi Patrick, yes we painted the doors and architrave (so that carried on from the skirting) in the Cornforth White too - I tend to prefer to do this but a plain wood door or white for the door would also work - the architrave must match the skirting. Hope this helps, Michaela
