Design Dilemma Bedrooms

Master Suite Advice

I’d love to be able to convert our top floor into a master suite. The current layout is shown in the picture... any suggestions/ideas welcome.

Yes on the first floor- but would be quite keen to keep a bathroom up there if possible as a master bath

cheers Robert Way Designers. I had considered making a feature which would conceal the waste as it has to run above the joists for a section unfortunately. i'd also like to include some concealed lighting - any advice on what to look for that's suitable for a wetroom/bathroom environment please?

@Jonathan - I do agree with your view about the corridor which is why I've been dithering about options. Equally though, i'm not sure I want the loo to be so close to the bedroom... don't need to hear the midnight ablutions. ;) I am going to have a play with your idea though - thinking about moving the bathroom to the left but keeping the angular shape to open the space a little bit. Then maybe using a false/two-thirds wall to create a division between a dressing area and the bed, with the bed facing out towards the Juliet balcony.

Hi la Vida and Sheila the floor plan doesn’t show it clearly but the stairs split at the top with couple of steps to right and left. It’s the rooms at the back of the house that I want to change to enable en-suite/ dressing room. And have a main bathroom

I would keep the ensuite on the left side where all the other bathrooms are for ease of plumbing. I have seen dressing room used as a divider between the bedroom part and the ensuite. This works well. You could have a central opening through the dressing room to access the ensuite. Think of losing doors or at least using a pocket door for the bathroom. I would only have the main bedroom door so as to maximise space. Built-in wardrobes would look much sleeker than freestanding. I would only have my en-suite accessible from the bedroom. You will gain lots of wall space by closing up the doorways to bedroom 2.

So you can change the exteriors walls or you want the same one if not than we can change ur bedroom no-5 in to the mstaer bathroom with walk in wardrobe and with walk in dresser with big windows (in the arch area).
In ur bedroom i think we can change the direction of ur bed as well as put divan ahead of ur bed , tv unit near window.

I agree - we did a walk in ardobe in a similar sized room - I was trying to link to it - but it won’t let me ... so iff you click on my name or icon to get to my pro page it’s the projects that looks like this screenshot ! Hope it helps ...
