Cracked Wall/Roughcast

Anyone offer some advice/thoughts on this crack on the side of the house? I have a professional coming to look at it next week, but are there any specific things I should be asking them/things I should look out for? I’m in no way knowledgable about DIY/Repairs so just seeking any initial thoughts before I speak with the builder. Thank you!

Hi. How many coats have been applied? I may be wrong but I think this type of cracking occurs when the first coat hasn't dried out enough before the next was applied (I've done this myself several times when applying testers on card/paper as I was too impatient to wait!)

Hi all, I went to view this property yesterday and I am thinking of putting an offer on it. However, I am concerned about some of the cracks I saw in the walls. The back of the house had a vertical crack which was visible on the outside and inside wall above the window and up to the ceiling (photos below). The front of the house had a crack on right hand corner which started from the ground and moved up and around the corner of the house (video attached). I would need to get a survey done to see if these are signs of a serious problem but in the meantime I was hoping for some advice. They don't look good! Thanks for your help.

There is definitely no tanking (waterproofing) on the back of the wall and the water is coming through and blowing the render off. You need to excavate the soil away from the back of the wall, and allow it to dry out. You then need to paint the back of the wall with a tanking paint - I usually specify Permaseal. You'll need to remove all the render from the front face and seal it with an outdoor sealant. I'd also install a French drain at the back of the wall - you can put it just below soil level so that you can put the lawn over the top. A french drain is a simple construction and if you Google it you'll find many sites telling you how to do it. Once the wall is dry you can then either re-render or clad the front face.
