what colour vanity to choose

Please give your suggestions on the color of the vanity to choose that would suite statuario marble tiles and black bathroom fixtures.

I think you could go with the grey in the marble, or a deep charcoal grey. White is always a classic.

Sonia, thank you so much for your ansee to my post. Actually all I had in my mind before was just black cabinet or dark wood cabinet. I actually consider now dark grey as per your post. ♥️

I would go for high gloss mustard green wet wall where the tiles were. This colour looks great with aubergine and the sleek finish will instantly update the kitchen. Positional ceiling halogens and lighting under the wall cupboards to make the rich colours glow. I think three colours are fine, especially if you pull them together in a blind fabric or cushion. ???

I found a pic earlier of a light grey Edwardian house with charcoal windows on houzz as shown. I also found one of the french grey and agree it looks green so I am not doing my house in that either although it does look nice on windows with cream render! Little Greene have some fab colours so maybe a pale but warm grey. Do also try the Dulux heritage colours if you want a period colour

My advice to you as a landlord myself:- You can't put vinyl tiles over the existing as you need to stick them on with preferably floor tile adhesive, which would ruin the tiles underneath, plus putting anything over the tiles other than sheet materials would leave gaps, it'll look silly. So, I would say no to the vinyl tiles idea. They're certainly not meant to be removable, or put on walls. I would say yes to the vinyl flooring as carpet in a bathroom is unsanitary and washable flooring is much better. Also ask if you could have someone make a cupboard that will fit underneath the sink for storage, that way it will fit correctly and also be a nice addition. However, you still wouldn't have room for all the stuff in baskets, the bin and a laundry bin in inside it. You may fit the bin in, but the Laundry basket may have to live somewhere else. You could also ask for permission to put up a vanity cupboard over the sink instead of the mirror, this can then store more stuff. I don't think you can replace the tiles, so don't go with white paint it won't look right.

Something more interesting! There are such a huge array of tiles available that you can have something lovely. As the units and worktop are dark I would go with a light palette. Hexagonal tiles are lovely. If you wanted subway tiles you could lay then in a more interesting way such as herringbone (better with slim subways) or upright, like below

I like Sonia’s ideas. White always keeps things clean and crisp to tie in with the minimalistic design you already have and her suggestion of the grey would work really well, compliment the grey veining in the marble. You could of course add a bit of colour, maybe get the wall hung units sprayed in farrow and ball down pipe for example. BLUE VANITY UNIT
