Height for Medicine Cabinet

It's 29" high and not going over a vanity. Might be going on a wall where there is nothing. Any suggestions on what height I should install this? Thanks!

Are you using the mirror or just for storage? If also using as a mirror, center the mirror on the height of your face.

industry standards: Base cabinets are 34 1/2" tall (then add 1 1/4-1 1/2 for countertops) Base cabinets are 24" deep (countertops are generally 25 1/2 to 26" deep wall cabinets are generally hung starting 18" off the counter (around 54" off the floor). Hi, I am with your husband on this one, the handles in my opinion should be the same height throughout. Aesthetically it would follow the line of sight, if you have centre of both doors your effectively breaking the line of sight and would look odd having it higher than the other.

Personally I think that if you just add additional kitchen material above the units this looses the contemporary feel. In my opinion the contemporary way to hide this space is to build boxing and I don’t see why you can’t do this with wood/ MDF/ plasterboard and then paint it with the wall or ceiling paint. Personally though I don’t see this as a the kitchen fitters job. If you want boxing above the cabinets this is a builder job. Beware of this as the kitchen cabinets will be completely level and if the boxing is not there may be a shadow gap

You're really looking at either a hi end kitchen company who supply a more traditional style kitchen ie inframe, or as @Daisy England says, go to an independent, but as you're planning on having this sitting on your worktop, depending on the design of the rest of the kitchen ie if you have towers, the counter level bi fold doors would be to a special size (as most tall doors are designed for tower use). The easiest way to do this would be to have an extra wide larder (800 or 900), fit an internal drawer unit at the bottom, then a piece of worktop, have power points inside and 2 or 3 shelves above. Depending on where the doors come from it may 2x 1965 doors or 2x 1245 doors at the top and 2x 715 doors at the bottom, all standard stuff. Bearing in mind the appliances your trying to hide would be too big to fit inside a 'standard' 300 deep dresser type unit, the counter top option might not be the most suitable. But for a budget of 20K, i could design and supply a larger than average kitchen that has some bespoke made to measure doors and specially designed rigid cabinets and all to a high spec.
