Decorating - what would you do?

I wanted this room to be painted pink 3/4 way up walls. My husband wanted it mostly white. we compromised on a light grey wall and pink skirting. it looks alright but I'm not happy with it. Do you think it'll look better and more cosy if we put up pictures and shelves? I still like the idea of painting it pink either in line with the top or the bottom of the velux windows. Any ideas on what we could do to make it better? Maybe one wall or section in the pink??
