New home - would like grey instead of pink..
Comments (12)Hi. The walls are really light ( I can't work out if they're white or pale grey!) so I'd just go pale grey (1/2 shades darker if the ŵalls are grey) for the curtains and blinds which will still keep them light. I personally prefer plain curtains as it's typically cheaper to update accessories. I'd go for a mid grey for the sofa. If you go for the same combo as before I'd add an accent chair in a different colour maybe with a pattern. Tie the chair and sofa in by adding cushions in the same colour. If you want to keep it neutral then just add cushions, rug in different textures and patterns in really light grey through to dark. Also add metal finishes and glass for more interest. Green is a colour that works well with white, grey and black and you could also add it for plants, herbs for the kitchen and flowers. I have faux white hydrangea from Oka which I always plug (!) but you need to mix them with green foliage, maybe for the dining table?...See MoreManor House Grey Front Door?
Comments (7)most decorators merchants with a mixing station should be able to colour match to a paint chip/swatch. Just to flag - while a colour match will get close, F&B re quite unique in the way they formulate their paints, so lustre and overall look/feel of copies often doesn't quite match up to F&B originals. They are eye-wateringly expensive, but you can often tell the difference!...See MoreFront of house - warm/soft white with grey accents. But how?!
Comments (5)Big thanks tamp75. I really like your idea of RAL 9007 for garage door (standard product) and Sadolin "volcanic ash" for the window frames. Hadn't thought of that! And I think you might be right about the weathering of the "traditional" shade of Marshalls driveway products. Have been noticing this as a pass local front gardens. Anyone have any ideas for a warm/soft white shade for the exterior wall? A mum at school suggested RAL 9010 - she said that was the advice her sister (an architect) had given her on her house (she was doing the interiors). Any views?...See MoreWait - Should I calm down with colour? Manor House Gray v Vardo (Teal)
Comments (11)I think 'man about the house' is giving good advice. I adore teal but in this instance a paler grey with teal accents in accessories may suit the space better. I painted a similar wall in a lovely rich purple and it was too much, too dominant for my space :/ . It is a gorgeous colour though it really looks amazing against the lamp and couch.... Oh maybe be brave and go for it!!...See MoreKaren Turbill
