Comments (18)Nice brickwork. I would suggest learn to love mock tudor. Find out when the house was built and be classical for the time, using appropriate colours. Anything else that modernises it will look out of place and take away the character. It will also depreciate the house, as updating such a distinct style never really works. Try changing the porch and the windows for something in the period. They are at odds with the look of the house. Something darker would work better....See MoreDoes a Mock Tudor house need to be black and white ?
Comments (8)Hi. That looks a lovely house. The beams on this house are painted in farrow and ball mouses' back which should look nice with your tiles and chimney. I also think drop cloth could look lovely ( a stone but doesn't have the green undertone) but it may be too light as I would choose 2 shades darker than normal for exteriors really. Or you could paint the render in it and go for lighter or darker beams. Hopefully some nice houzzers can do a render for you in your preferred colour as painting can be very expensive!...See MoreWhat to do with our mock Tudor external?
Comments (28)I love this! I’m really wanting add Tudor cladding to our garage and I love the way you have all photoshopped to see it before you do it. How do I do this? I’m thinking render and Tudor cladding above the garage and rendered within the porch area. We’ve just had the garage door painted and I feel it needs something extra. a couple of houses on the street have Tudor cladding so it wouldn’t look out of place....See MoreIdeas for painting exterior of mock Tudor house
Comments (24)Yes I think we've all got one of those groups, Sonia. Like to post pictures of dog poo and badly parked cars on a daily basis!! Been to Hitchin myself some years ago and seem to remember a nice place called The Sun Inn and a fabulous farmers market. Sorry to hijack original post. Happen to like the softer grey wood myself as well. Perhaps it would be useful to get a mock up done before you make your mind up....See Moreannabellaamy
