Help with floor plan layout- awkward staircase

Hello
We would like a large kitchen/diner with a utility shower room downstairs.
There is no space to extend towards the rear of the house so instead will look to convert/update the garage and existing side extension as per below floorplan.
The issue i am having which seems to trump my above requirement is the fact that the staircase sits towards the mid/rear of the house meaning the rear ground floor rooms are sort of squeezed at the rear. The house is a semi with no
adjoining house next to the garage.
floorplan suggestions welcome please!
