I don't have the exact deatils to hand - but I do remember this fabric comes from Designers Guild. worth looking at their website as they will have various options & colour variations. hope that helps direct you

When we moved into the house where we’re still living knocking the kitchen and dining area into one room was the first thing we did and I’ve never regretted it. That was 27 years ago. Several years later the utility room was knocked through so it gave a larger kitchen. The utility became a dumping ground and the kids and husband dumped their bags on the worktop in there leaving me with no worktop for the laundry. Another good decision as it gave a big square kitchen to allow an island. I don't think you will create 2 separate living areas though if you don’t do it. The kitchen will be the adults domain and the dining area will may only be used when eating. The kids might prefer their bedroom or the lounge so I wouldn’t think along this line. Smells go wherever they want to. If your dining room is next to the kitchen they’ll go in there anyway so I don’t think I’d worry about that point. Having one large space makes it so much more sociable. People can sit at the table or on a sofa and chat to you while you’re cooking. For me it‘s a definite knock through.

Good point about the size. Most of the metal parts of the contemporary prism light fixture over the dining table adjacent to these windows have a shiny silver finish (maybe chrome?), so that's why we originally went with white for the rod.

Do you have a photo? What are the other furniture do you have ? Any photos ? Do you like colours pastels or brights ? What are your favourite colours ? Do you have a favourite shirt, skirt, jumper that has a pattern or style to it? photo please. Do you have a picture or photos that have a coloured frame ? What colour? Do you like plants ? or you have any already ? Are their any sentimental objects ? what is it, description ? What is the rug you want to buy is there a pic of it ? Are you thinking of some sort of fire, faux stove, or a TV for a focal point in the room ? Do you want to have a workspace in the area too?
