Curtains on a track or roman blinds on bay window?
Comments (20)That many blinds would be a pain to open and close on a daily basis. You'd likely end up leaving some of them closed permanently which would cut the light enormously. Consider curtains that hang from the flat wall above the archway, in front of the whole bay window. When open they could hang on either side of the opening, meaning no loss of light. It would definitely make the room smaller when closed but would be a lovely 'wall of fabric', closing off any clutter on your dressing table....See MoreBay window.. curtains, roman blinds?
Comments (2)You will get light coming through with any blinds at the edges where they meet. Maybe you could change to shutters? I still think you'll get a little diffused light through those. If you don't want the expense of the shutters and or still want to go for black out curtains, then have them sill length and pull them round the bay....See MoreWindow dressing bay and side window
Comments (1)We've recently had full length curtains in our bay window and a matching Roman blind at the small window. Our small window is not on the same wall as the bay, but it looks really good. We splashed out on made to measure and it was worth every penny....See Morehow to dress a Victorian Bay Window - living room
Comments (22)They are lovely windows! I think the windows would actually look better without the curtains. Do you close the curtains at night for privacy when sitting in the room? Or just close at night going to bed? I think shutters might look too much for the big windows and you need something simpler. I like roman blinds. Or how about just curtains at the 2 sides, and when pulled back at the sides they are swept away from the walls/windows.... or held back with a hook/holder?...See MoreJess
