Design Dilemma Bathrooms

Matt White Wall Tiles

I need to replace several bathroom tiles except I do not have an spare and I cannot remember where I purchased them from. They are matt white and I have tried so many different retailers both on an off line without success. Does anyone know where I might be able to buy a custom cut white matt wall tile or a retailer who might have a very large selection of white tiles? Thank you

Hi! It's going to be difficult to find the exact make and model of the tiles you have, as it's such a popular products each different retailer will have slightly different variants of the white tiles, with different shades and colours being used or different gloss / matte finishes, the best advice to give is visiting some of your local tile shops and taking a sample tile if you have one spare to compare.

You might not be able to find the exact make and model but hopefully could find one that isn't completely different from your existing tiles.

Alternatively, it might not be what you're looking for, but if you're replacing some bathroom tiles all in one area you could opt for a panel alternative.

Thanks I found a tiles which measure 200x300mm. My tile is 202 x 303mm. The wall tiles are side by side or stacked so it would be obvious they were a different size. I now wish they were staggered because the difference in size would be so obvious. I will continue to look. It is unfortunate there is nothing on the back of the tile to help identify it.

Jonathandb1972, I was thinking of going with a grout that is the same colour or lighter than the grey tile. The hex will be grouted in a medium grey. This has already been done in the loo (the hex) and looks great. Neither are grouted in the above picture. Do you think there will still be issues with where the grout lines are if they are the same or lighter than the tile? Also, where the hex tile in the shower meets the grey tile will mainly be covered by the shower's profile. However, the shower only goes up to about 2m, so there will still be a visible "meeting" of tiles above that. My builder is a little concerned about how this will look as he will have to cut small pieces of tile to fill up the edge, which may stain once they start grouting. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best...

I think that these cabinets are a nice choice and I think wood has a natural warm ness so hubby shouldn’t worry it will look cold. Most likely he means that it is too pale for his taste but of course you can add colour to the wall later if he still feels that way. Perhaps you can find a wallpaper you like for a feature wall in the snug. I also liked some of the concrete style tile suggestions. For me I am not keen on kitchen layout particularly the oven position and the peninsula. I think the peninsula cuts in half an otherwise spacious room and is a barrier to accessing your fridge and oven. To me it feels like you missed the opportunity to make the kitchen feel bigger and the kitchen is probably occupying a very similar position to the outgoing one even though walls have moved. Personally I think you should be investigating a plan where your oven and fridge are towards the area you have put a breakfast bar. If you have longer runs of units this helps you see the wide drawers which is a particular feature of this contemporary kitchen. You could also increase the distance between the sink and the hob which is of course your working area. Personally I think the room would be feel bigger without the shown peninsula breakfast bar and instead a bistro table by the garden doors.
