Hi! Thanks for your question and keen eyesight!

Yes, there is a medicine cabinet behind the mirror. The mirror is flush to the wall and the cabinetry is built in during framing. The mirror in this home slides up and down using that metal lip. Robern is the company for this particular mirror although Kohler carries similar products.

I love them. From genuine antique mirrors to the new antique style splashbacks or tile effect. I have a bricked up arch window at the end of my hall which I'd love to have antiqued glass cut to fit but sadly out of budget atm. I also love the antique style splashbacks similar to the award winning mowlems kitchen design (not quite so keen on the pic above) but I'm really not convinced it will work in my kitchen. I recently bought an antique dressing table which has a very aged looking mirror, looks great but you can't actually see in it properly!

Because the ceiling slopes a bit on the right side l would place the mirrors a bit lower than the height of the clock but not too much, say in line with the top of the inner circle. You need to straighten or remove the outermost cushion on the bed as it ruining the bedscape. It is odd. You could add a foot plaid with a little colour and a rug or something on the walls to tie in the colour. It's looking a lot better but still a bit like a black and white photo. You've done well with the lanterns, now bring on a few more pretty items to share the dressertop - choose different heights textures snd even colours.

We saw something similar from Harvey George but it was out of our budget so we found ours on ebay from a company called Osprey Furniture. The vanity unit is made to order and can be painted in the colour of your choice.
