Can you recommend tile alternative (eg shower panel) that doesn't look
Comments (4)HI Jodg, Microcement is what you should look into. Its seamless, so no worries about trim. When applied by trained applicators it's completely waterproof. It's available in over 30 standard colours, also metallic finishes. it's only 3mm thick so you wouldn't lose as much space as you would with panels. We incorporate a mesh into the base so it will not crack. Finally the sealing is polyurethane so aswell as being waterproof it is extremely hard wearing. The price is comparable to tiles and cheaper than panels for a full room. Here's a few pictures of our work. Feel free to contact us with any queries whatsoever. Thanks, Maxim....See MoreWhich light should I consider for choosing flooring and white shade p
Comments (3)I think this much glass means that the room would be plenty light enough even if you painted it black. Personally I think that white could be a cold choice especially with modern LED lighting- I would choose coloured walls but there are many whites to choose from which might appeal more to you. A lot of the paint manufacturers have helpful sites that explain the undertones of a colour which will get exaggerated in large spaces. Personally I think that some of the whites are very yellow in electric light and whites with a blue undertone can look grubby in anything less than brilliant sunshine. Perhaps you should be looking to choose a neutral instead such as Farrow and Balls Joa White or Dimity. However if you tell us more about what is going in the room I am sure that there will be other suggestions....See MoreWhat flooring to put down over existing white ceramic tiling...
Comments (17)Hi, Is there anything that makes you think it would be difficult to remove and replace the existing tiles? It looks like you have a wall hung wc pan (hard to tell in the photos), so no problem with that, and the tiled bath panel helps as well. If there was electric underfloor heating then it would make sense to avoid lifting the existing but otherwise its the best way to do it. If fitting a new floor you would want to have new sealant to the perimeter of the room, floors to wall, anyway so that would cover any join between the new floor and existing walls. Personally I would remove and replace with whatever you like, tiles amtico etc. etc. Then you have a brand new floor that you know will last. Sheet vinyl over the top of the existing will show the indentations of the existing grout lines and anything else will add unnecessary height to the threshold and may be uneven. Good luck with the work and make sure to post up photos when its all done....See MoreColour advice for walls and flooring for a white gloss kitchen
