Has anyone used straw panels in an extension?

I have planning permission for a traditional extension. Then my nephew told me about straw panels that can be built off site and then bolted together, making for a sustainable, eco friendly build. Has anyone experience of these please? Especially regarding planning permission (do I need to re-do it), how it would fit with my existing 1930s end of terrace, and house insurance. I've contacted ecococon and straw panels, but it would be useful to know if anyone has used them.
