porch/hallway help

We have very old glass doors from our brick porch to smallish hallway. Ideally we want to replace them with modern glass door/window as we get lots of light, but it’s awkward as the door opens into hallway but if we have it open into porch it takes up the porch space! Would love sliders but too narrow. Could we do something drastic like break the porch into hallway and get rid of the doors? Need advice. Please
