Building new apartment

last year

Hello folks.
We just got our new apartment. We are family with 3 years old kid. We need some ideas to do our home a good place for living.
At this moment we have just clean walls. And we are open for ideas about living room with kitchen , bed room, bath room and storage room.
About the kitchen area we think to avoid the table and the chairs with good island for cooking and the same time to be used like table for lunch or diner - but in what position will be the best choice to be placed?
The resting area like that maybe will take more free space so what kind of furniture will be the best choice for us?
About the bed room for now we think for 2nd level bed for the kid and space under for playing and etc. And on the other side our family bed - we dont want to take much space with our own needs.
The bathroom i really want bathtub but i am not sure how to and where to be + that we want and a shower.
And the storage room is a big question becouse we see that space to be done maximum good for our stuff - clothes, shoes, little techniques, washing machine and drying machine.

Well, there's probably nothing to be done about it, unless you have an HOA or Condo Board or something. So I guess I'd have to get over it. Any chance they're going to change the carpet?

There's not much you can really do about really moving the actual locations of things in your kitchen/bathroom as this is where the service pipes will be so it would cost a fortune for very little return. I think your best bet is to put a nice dining table in front of the windows in the kitchen - this will delineate the space more and give it a purpose, and some small shelves in the corner next to the window on the blank wall would be nice. The rest of the reception space can then be your living area - separate that off with a nice rug to pull the space together and it will trick the eye into thinking you have more space than you actually do. I think your ideas are spot on for the space. There is a bit of empty space, but you can sort that by tweaking your plan just a little. In the dining area, you could try moving the table further from the kitchen and putting a freestanding island in between, to give you more food prep space. Or, if it's more storage you need, you could add a sideboard where the wall cabinets are, to store dishes, glasses, drinks etc. another possibility is to go for a large round table rather than rectangular. This would fill the space nicely. In the living area, I think you have space for a corner sofa rather than the two seater you have shown, with the sofa and the armchair forming a u shape. The use of a rug to zone the space is perfect. Maybe add a narrow console table behind the sofa? Also, remember that, once you have placed all your large furniture in the room for real, it will be easier to think of little extras to add, like lamps, end tables, plants, etc. That's the fun part! And by accessorising with art, cushions, throws, and all your personal belongings, the space won't feel empty at all. Congrats on a lovely apartment and good luck with it!
