Mock Tudor(?) red brick early 90s Detatched estate house Facelift ?

It's not really mock tudor i suppose, but it does have the wood which seems to need endless maintenance. I'm Looking for some inspiration for a bit of a facelift. Typical uk 90s house on a street of similar , but different, houses. Unfortunately the bricklayers knew the joints would be covered so behind the wood is likely incredibly unatractive brickwork. Anyone any pearls of wisdom ? :)

    Over the road from me replaced their timber sections with UPVC to save maintenance.
