Comments (8)Avoid brilliant white. Just plain 'white' is a good place to start, it doesn't have 'blue' whiteners added and so tints well, if you are so inclined. And it's cheap too. Why not try a colourwash over plain white? This includes not just colourful colours, but all whites, blacks, greys, near neutrals too. It It’s the reason why paint companies can repeatedly make and match colours and ensure consistency. We just utilse that data to compare & contrast colours - in detail. NCS = the Natural Colour System. Dulux Pure Brilliant White is a colour from that palette. NCS S 0500-N. PPG is a huge American firm which owns Johnstones in the UK. Their colours are available via Johnstones & The Decorating Centre Online. Their colour PPG Delicate White/ Swansong is a great white for ceilings. More colourful than Pure Brilliant White, less colourful than colours like Pointing & Wimborne White.
