Hello, what strategies and aspects do you consider to be key when placing bets on sports and what influences your choice of team or match outcome?

There are several key strategies and aspects that I believe are critical to making informed decisions. One of the platforms that I have found useful for researching odds and getting information about a variety of other sports. I believe it is extremely important to do thorough research on the teams or players involved, including their recent play, head-to-head statistics, and any relevant news or events . Understanding the dynamics of the sport, such as team tactics, player form and stadium conditions, also plays an important role in influencing my choice of team or match outcome.

My biggest tip is do not do any online shopping when you've had a few, unless you want to experience the pleasure/pain of checking your eBay account to see "Congratulations you are the winning bidder" only to realise that the item is at the opposite end of the country, the seller does not arrange transport and you don't even remember why you wanted it. (Or is that just me). Other things would be to ask the seller to confirm the measurements (especially where a few millimetres difference would be critical) and hope that they can read a tape measure properly. Don't be afraid to ask for additional photographs including close-ups, if the seller can't be bothered, then don't be too sure that the item is as described, a description saying good condition can be subjective and don't forget that the camera can lie, especially with colours. If you are looking for something fairly commonplace then it can be worth waiting for it to turn up close enough to home, so that you can try to have a look before committing yourself; for the rare items you may have to take a chance, the worst case is that if you really don't like it you might have to sell it on again. And last of all, if it seems too good to be true, it usually is.

The fact you have ordered online means you actually have MORE rights than if you’d bought in a store, so please don’t worry. There is a law in the UK called the Distance Selling Statutory Rights which means as you have bought unseen, then if an item is not as expected or damaged, or even that you just don’t like it, you have 14 days to advise the company of this, then another 14 days to return it. I’m sure everything will be fine, but just in case have a read on Martin Lewis‘s website www. moneysavirngexpert.com and search Distance Selling Rights.

I did my first online design consultation way back in 2010 or 2011 for a client in New York State, which seemed very exciting at the time. But I wasn't happy with the the technology I had access to and how it limited the quality of the service compared to my in-person version, so I stopped offering that and stuck to in-person. But at the end of last year I decided to go back to offering a less location dependent service and invested in a bit of tech - webcam and tablet, so now I use zoom with a screenshare and have a design briefing process that my clients work through before we talk. It's now just as good as the in-person workshop and I'm not sure I'll got back to offering an in-person version even once we're able to. I can do everything else, bar the measured survey without a site visit too, so I'm now taking projects through planning and building control stages with all client meetings done online using zoom. It's also handy that you can record zoom calls too, so you have a record of them if needed.
