So since I posted about 6 weeks ago we now have a lovely wooden floor, fire has been removed and left chimney breast with cables available so we can mount the TV. Have our old sofas sat side by side under the window but still not sure how to plan it all out. Hopefully once painted and we start visiting some furniture shops the rest will just fall into place :) thanks all for comments, would welcome any ideas

Hello everyone, I'm a 35 old Italian woman leaving in Ireland since 2011. Graduated in Archaeology and working as Manager Customer Service in a big multinational company, funny hum? Anyway my dream it always been to become a interior designer, indeed this passion is what bring me to this website almost 3 years ago. Now...I decided to start to follow my dream. Unfortunately I cannot afford quit my job, but from the other side is good the fact that I'm working from home. So I've looked around on the websites and I found a course that will give the possibility to home study. The course is a 18 months, and at the end of the course I'll get a level 7 on the NF, at the end of the course I'll be able so to join several university courses at the third year directly. I'm so excited about this new path, but I'd like to know from you if you think I should be aware of anything? Do you think I am too old to start this new career? Do you think the Irish market is a good one? Ideally I'd like to move from Ireland soon or later, do you know if there is any particular requirement for example to work in UK as well? I agree that keeping the WC between the basins and the screen area is probably the better idea, so that there is a nice feature when you first walk in. There are plug sockets on every wall, two on the wall with the bit that comes out where the fireplace used to be, the layout image is just what I took from the estate agents listing for my house when I bought it :) I love the idea of adding the fireplace back in! I wasn't sure if it would make the room feel smaller or not but that inspiration image looks great
