Comments (6)I would stay with the same colour for all walls as it will make your house flow from one room to the other. Agree with Brandi, keep your ceiling white, always look fresh. Add plain curtains and play around with colours in the cushions and acessories. depends on what colours you love. Try to stay with 3 colours. Maybe use the 2 different hues by painting a acsent wall with one rather than the ceiling....See MoreWhat color best compliments Farrow and Balls Elephant Breadth
Comments (8)Had my shaker oak kitchen professionally resprayed with Elephants Breath, and the colour looks so different at certain times of the day! It mostly looks like a silvery flat chalk grey, and then occasionally your eye catches a more warm tone! I guess its to do with the light particles and reflections? The colour card shown on the above picture is not what the colour really looks like in my kitchen. I now wish id chosen a warmer putty colour, as i feel the grey in kitchen looks quite cold but im going to try and warm it up by accessorizing with baby pink pastel coloured kettle and toaster etc? Any advice would be appreciated?...See MoreCeiling , beams and wall colour
Comments (15)Thank you for your comments they are really helpful, as you say it may be best to stay with one colour for the moment. There will eventually be a high table in the kitchen so it can double as a prep table. The first attached photo is the look I found originally that I liked..simple but warm, I just want black as a detail rather than being too dominant. My windows are light timber inside (so the view is the most important aspect) they are black aluminium outside. The second is a photo of slightly darker ceiling that got me thinking. Comments (12)If you think the cabinets look bare without the trim it’s probably just because that’s what you’re used to looking at. I’ve never had cornice and pelmet (trim) because I prefer a plain no frills kitchen with less to clean. Clean and sleek lines. Regarding stainless steel plinths, it’s a no from me. The images don’t look grey on my screen BTW, they look more like a pale timber colour. I’m sure you’d be able to pick up some plinth to be a very close match....See MoreHilary I
