Battersea - master en suite

As featured in Homes and Gardens magazine Oct 2017.

A sophisticated and glamorous en-suite master bathroom using an elegant palette of polished brass, mirror, marble and American black walnut, set off dramatically with black accents, creates a unique space and sanctuary for our client.

The sash window on the rear wall was central to the layout and made the perfect backdrop, painted in black, for the freestanding volcanic limestone bath. Our client required lots of storage so we designed a bespoke 1.8m floating walnut vanity and Crittall-style framed wardrobe doors with mirrored panels adding to the glamorous style. We designed a layered dimmable lighting scheme; Brass Art Deco style wall lights, by Hector Finch, complement the contemporary brass pendant, adding a decorative touch; ambient lighting was created using LED strip under the walnut floating shelves and vanity, as well as a pinhole down light in the shower niche; and functional lighting was added using white matt downlights in the ceiling.
