This beautiful barn conversion in the heart of the Kent countryside was a brilliant project for us, our customer wanted a room which was a great family space, complemented some of the stunning features of the old barn as well as utilising some modern storage solutions.

Having worked with properties similar to this before, we were really able to help our customer create her vision and a room for the whole family to enjoy. A mixture of finishes for the external unit and islands really produces a country feel, lead colour units were chosen for the island and lacquered European oak for the external units all with shaker style doors within beaded frames.

A bespoke farmhouse kitchen table was made with a combination of natural wood and painted finish, to bring all the elements together. Steel grey Satin with DuPont edged granite worktops were a practical and attractive finish and complemented the dark original beams and the dark top of the 2 oven aga.

Bespoke storage solutions were designed, including pull out spice and bottle racks as well as pull out bespoke shelving. This cosy yet stylish family room we think created the perfect compromise of a traditional farmhouse feel but with some benefits of current storage solutions and finishing touches.
