Family Home, Chiswick, London
This private residence involved the demolition and rebuilding of a three storey Edwardian property, with the addition of a contemporary extension and new basement to suit the family’s exacting requirements.
The sculpted staircase is the focal point of the house, a striking ‘folded’ oak construction linking the generous open spaces of the four floors. Through the staircase, daylight penetrates the new fair-faced concrete basement, containing home cinema and family room with pool table.
