Hamilton Kitchen – reconfiguring, revamping and renewing
This labour of love in this Hamilton kitchen took 4 weeks to complete and our clients are delighted with the result. We are experts in maximising and re-configuring space; the old kitchen and dining room have been transformed into a large family kitchen opening out to a new family living room and dining space. The end results are a kitchen and family room which will be enjoyed for many years to come.
Our experience and knowledge of converting and making the most of the available space was part of the reason our client chose Create Studio.
Initially we altered a partition wall which reconfigured the entrance hallway and maximised the new kitchen area. The doorway from kitchen to family room was made into a walk-through and the kitchen, family room and hallway/staircase were all plastered and decorated.
The space gained by using sliding pocket doors into the kitchen and for a storage cupboard means the newly created space is practical for family life.
The kitchen itself consists of cabinets and door/drawer fronts from the Classic Ellis Cambourne Natural Oak range; a Hotpoint integrated fridge/freezer; an Indesit integrated washing machine and CDA integrated dishwasher; CDA 90cm extractor fan with Whirlpool 5 burner gas hob along with the CDA integrated double oven and CDA integrated microwave oven were all finished in brushed chrome. A state of the art Seraphina boiling water tap adds a luxurious touch of modern technology to the large bowl and a half undermounted sink. Stunning Silestone worktops were fitted, contrasted by custom manufactured aqua blue feature glass splashbacks.
Karndean flooring was laid at an angle so it flowed seamlessly through the kitchen and into the family room.
The radiators were all chosen from the Eucotherm Mars range (which can be ordered in almost any colour), including the talking point – the fully mirrored radiator in the entrance hallway.
Future proofing the new kitchen and living space, we also fitted brushed chrome power point sockets with built in USB ports throughout the kitchen and living space. Kitchen lighting is by lower power LED strips and downlights. The end result is a timeless kitchen and family room, making sure the cook can still be part of the party!
