A room in a 1940's house used as a family play room was made over with in a Skandi style, bringing in a few pieces of furniture for storage and storage chests to place in an unused fireplace, whilst utilising the existing solid oak shelves. We removed the existing mantel, and made good the fireplace. Hung a geometric wallpaper to the back wall and mixed up a matching blue paint for the fireplace, making the room appear bigger than it did.
