Garden Transformation – Amersham
This long rectangular back garden was lacklustre and the owner wanted to give it a fresh new look. Removing a huge conifer hedge at one side helped to widen the garden and allow for a large new area of planting on the sunnier side. Hard landscaping was very important - access to the shed was needed all year round and the clients were tired of looking at trampled mud at the end of a long winter, so a path was designed to curve around an oval shaped lawn which helped to give the garden movement and clarity, setting the planting off to best advantage. The garden was finished in early summer and these photos were taken just a few weeks later when the lawn was yet to fully recover.
