Hove Courtyard White Garden

A calm, private space, a retreat from a pressured job. The house is Edwardian with (listed) original features. The garden redesign respects the period, but with a contemporary twist. Two brick circles link across the garden. Gravel sweeps around the circles, connecting a raised dining area, a shed and a herb garden with low box and lavender edging. Planting uses waves of evergreen topiary in different textures as a backdrop for red acers and all-white flowers. INNOVATION: Successfully using metal 'Everedge' for things it was never designed for, including facing bricks!
