This large rural garden near Wivelsfield in Sussex is a great example of a consultancy project. The garden is beautifully situated, facing fields and downland, but had been under-used and a little neglected. The owner wanted to create a (reasonably) low priced and low maintenance design that could evolve with her family as the children became teenagers. I provided a design and collaborative advice on a transformation that could be undertaken in stages, over two years. The homeowner managed the work/ budget and the family did quite a bit of it themselves, with me available for guidance and moral support! The end result is a garden that fits its location beautifully and gets a lot of use by the whole family, year round. A great success. INNOVATIONS.
