Irvington Kitchen Remodel

We renovated a kitchen and breakfast nook in a 1930s home for a family with two kids. With four doorways connecting to the space, the kitchen was a challenge to use. A key goal was to make the space flow better. We closed up an unnecessary access point to the stair to create more usable kitchen room, opened up the breakfast nook, and widened the casement opening between kitchen and dining room for a more open connection from room to room. Finishes were chosen for beauty, durability, and the ability to be both modern and vintage in feel. Granite countertops are a kitchen classic , large gray-blue textured ceramic tile adds interest at the backsplash, and cabinets are pale gray-white, offset by the paper-white walls and ceilings. All cabinetry was designed by the architect.
